Program participants and their families are engaged in fun monthly outings, educational field trips, and community celebrations that strengthen the familial bond and create a sense of community among participants. Outings can include hikes, picnics or visits to the museum and library. Participants celebrate “American holidays” like Thanksgiving, Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez Day and blend new customs with cultural traditions.
